Business jet carrying 9 people crashes in Florida neighborhood, FAA says — Aurora Business news

Officials are responding to a fiery plane crash on Sunday in Palm Beach County, according to fire rescue and the FAA. The FAA said a Learjet 60 that had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas crashed in a residential area near Cresthaven, Florida, at around 12:50 p.m. Nine people were on board the aircraft bound for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas, authorities said. It was not immediately clear how many people were injured. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said the incident closed Military Trail between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North to all traffic. Drivers should seek alternate routes. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. This is a developing story. Refresh for updates.
