United Way of Lee County to host annual Girlfriend Gala: A night to sip, shop and support local causes

United Way of Lee County’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the Girlfriend Gala, is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Dixon Elks Lodge. This event brings together women from across the community for an evening of fun, friendship, and philanthropy, all in support of programs that make a difference in Lee County. Every dollar raised at the Girlfriend Gala helps fund local initiatives and provides grants to 36 Lee County nonprofit organizations.
